Well my daughter has a dell inspiron 1545 with windows xp and her internet only works in one application not word and she needs to use word, any ideas how to fix?
or is it a driver problem that wont allow her to use her computer in word and internet at the same time.

Dear all, i have an inspiron 1501 laptop, i.e it has intel 82845G/GL video card. I was having trouble with the video and was trying to download driver updates for the card. Suddenly i observed some how my screen is frozen. I tried to reboot. Now only my text is visible, no graphics or icons on the desktop. I tried to login to windows classic and it works. I tried to login to windows XP and windows 7. Same problem. Now on windows XP i was able to login using safe mode. I found out that my video card was not recognized by the operating system as a video card, thus no driver updates could be installed. So i tried to install the drivers manually. I booted in safe mode to do that. I was able to load windows but the driver installing process was halted by a message that says the system is not compatible with this driver. The same message is shown when i attempt to load windows 7. Please help. And please do suggest if i have to reinstall my laptop. I dont have any data on it.
