Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason) – A magazine editor, Liz is a no-nonsense working mother who has a way of sounding hard-nosed when she means to be kind. Michael, meanwhile, is trying to forge a career as a screenwriter after serving in the army for a decade. On the outside, Liz's life looks good, but behind closed doors, things are much different. She tries to make sense of it all, and when a drunken one-night stand with Alex sends her into another relationship with Josh, Liz finds herself torn between two men she loves, and two lives that are rapidly spinning out of control. Her future – and her life – is about to change in ways she could have never imagined.
Michael Evans (Nathan Parsons) – Mike is a good-hearted, well-meaning guy, working as a product manager at a tech company. But it's his relationship with his loved ones that keeps him grounded.
